Two men from Blyvoor are happy to be alive after a harrowing experience this week.
The two men, aged 26 and 27, were walking near the Skoonplaas area on Friday, 16 February.
They were walking on the road when four unknown men approached them.
The strangers, armed with AK47 and R5 assault rifles, suddenly started shooting at them.
One of the men was hit 13 times, while the other was hit in his shoulder.
Fortunately, they managed to find someone to take them to Carletonville Hospital.
The Carletonville police are investigating two cases of attempted murder.
