Traffic markings and signs being fixed

The municipality has started to fix this problem.

After various complaints the municipality fixed various traffic signs in Fochville this week.

The Herald reported last week of an accident at the corner of Rand and 7th Street in Fochville.

This corner did not have any stop signs and the accident allegedly occurred as a result of this.

The municipality painted new road markings and also erected new stop signs on wooden poles at this crossing shortly after the Herald’s article appeared. Drivers who adhere to these signs are now also able to see oncoming traffic past the walls and palisade fences at these corners.

By Monday morning 24 June a total of 10 new stop signs had been put up at various corners in the town. Road markings were also painted at various crossings, such as Church, Vrede, Lucerne, Koring, Eerste and Hawer Streets.
