Fochville woman hijacked and kidnapped in violent attack
Luckily the victim was not injured.

A woman from Fochville was hijacked while driving in the area this week. This crime took place on November 29.
The 36-year-old woman was driving her Chevrolet Utility bakkie between Sibanye-Stillwater’s 5 Shaft and Mpahla Village at approximately 03:00.
Suddenly four men in a white vehicle forced her to stop. The thugs, who spoke Sesotho, were all armed. They grabbed the woman, tied her hands with cable ties, and blindfolded her. They kidnapped the woman and took her to a shack in an area that she did not know.
The kidnappers forced her to hand over the pin to her bank card, and they withdrew all the money they could. They also forced her to make a video for her boyfriend on one of the thugs’ phones, asking him to make contact with them. They later dropped her off in the veld in the Randfontein area.
A good Samaritan helped her to get to the Randfontein Police Station. The police brought her back to Fochville. By printing time her bakkie was still gone.
The police in Fochville are investigating hijacking and kidnapping cases. Anyone who might have any information that can lead to the arrest of the perpetrators can call the crime stop line at 08600 10111.
