Special Carols by Candlelight in Carletonville tonight

Everyone is welcome to attend.

All residents are invited to a special Carols by Candlelight in Carletonville tonight (Tuesday December 12).

The event will be held in the park next to the municipal library at the Carletonville Civic Centre at 19:00. Those who want to attend must just bring a light and a camp chair.

According to the organizer, Shaleen Smith, the event is held tonight because many people might be away on holiday from next week.

“People have told me that there used to be a Carols by Candlelight in Carletonville many years ago and I thought it might be a good idea to see if we can start doing it again,” she says.

She says that ministers from various churches have been united for a meeting on the second Tuesday of every month for the past two months. Tonight’s event will fit into this calendar.

Members of the SAPS will also be present.

The event will also be a prayer event for a 17-year-old boy from Carletonville with stage 4 cancer, who has helped at many other events in the past.
