Worker shot during armed robbery at home renovation in Carletonville

This was a very clos call for a worker just doing his job.

A worker busy with home renovations was shot by robbers on December 3.

The crime took place on Onyx Drive in Carletonville. A crew of workers were busy renovating a home at approximately 12:56. Suddenly seven men entered the property.

One of them was armed.

“Lie down,” the robbers instructed the workers. They spoke isiZulu and Setswana.

A struggle ensued between the workers and the robbers. During the altercation, a bullet grazed the head of one of the workers.

The robbers grabbed their firearms and ran away.

The worker was rushed to Carletonville Hospital for medical treatment.

The police are investigating armed robbery and attempted murder cases.
