Netstar employee hijacked on R500: Police Investigating
Unfortunately hijackings do not seem to decease in our area.

An employee of a vehicle tracking company was hijacked while driving in our area on January 8.
The driver (46), an employee of Netstar, was driving his employer’s GWM bakkie on the R500 from Krugersdorp toward Carletonville.
The driver was close to Red Cap Ranch at approximately 19:15 when he suddenly saw a Volvo, a Mitsubishi, and a Toyota Fortuner close to him. These vehicles pushed him off the road and eight men jumped out.
The hijackers, who spoke isiZulu, pointed a firearm at him and forced him into one of their vehicles. They drive with him for some time before dropping him off near Sibanye-Stillwater’s Cooke Shaft.
The police are investigating a hijacking case.
