Khutsong teenager survives violent house robbery

This youngster had a close call.

Robbers struck at a home in Khutsong Extension 5 this week.

The crime took place in the 50s on February 8.

A young resident of the house (17) was asleep on a couch in the lounge when he was suddenly woken up by a loud noise at approximately 03:00.

He realised that four unknown men had broken into the house. The thugs, who spoke Sesotho, were all masked and armed. They also wore gloves.

One of them kicked the boy in his back and pointed a firearm at him. He demanded that the boy tell him where they could find money in the house.

The thug and his three accomplices then started to search the house.

They grabbed three cellphones and a tablet as well as Puma sneakers and other shoes before running from the scene.

Luckily the boy was not injured.

The police are investigating a house robbery.
