Armed robbery at tavern in Carletonville CBD: Staff held at gunpoint

Business robbers again struck in the Carletonville CBD at Marcellos Tavern on Emerald Street on March 12.
A 49-year-old staff member was busy helping clients at the counter when three African men walked in at 19:30.
The masked robbers spoke isiXhosa and had two firearms.
One of the men stood by the door while the other two walked up to the counter.
The robbers demanded cash and forced the employee to open the cash register.
A shot was fired before the robbers fled with an undisclosed amount of money and two bottles of expensive alcohol.
The police in Carletonville are investigating a business robbery.
