He has worked with various other artists.

Vuyo Duba is a 35-year-old recording and performing artist who was inspired to pursue music as a career. He grew up in Khutsong and is a versatile artist who performs Hip Hop, RnB, and Piano music.
“I was a fan of the Hip Hop culture for a long time looking up to artists such as Vibration Taylor,” he says. He has always enjoyed playing around with words through freestyling which is the art of rapping from the top of the head without writing or practicing the words. He found Hip Hop to be a complex genre until he found his niche which is to make soulful Hip Hop using his home language making his music less aggressive and more appealing to the ear. He is currently residing at Elijah Barayi where he and his friends have kicked off an artistic movement with other creative and passionate people in the area. He began collaborating with a vocalist known as “Lubar” who introduced him to production.
He also worked with other artists such as Rich Savage and Natty B using other people’s studios. The artist eventually became frustrated and wanted the freedom to make his music, pushing him to work hard through a nine-to-five job to purchase his own equipment. Currently, the passionate artist has managed to record his album which is all rap while he also has other projects such as an Afro Pop album with Lubar and he has also co-produced an RnB album for a female vocalist known as Lisa. The artist is so versatile that he is also a dancer, singer, rapper, and producer which allows him to express himself in various art forms.
“My love for music began at an early stage around 8-years-old as a dancer,” he further expressed. His stage name is ”Fede Fokol” which means that he has accepted his past and had to endure stumbling blocks along the way before finally deciding to follow his heart. He aims to prove that it is never too late to do what resonates with one’s desire and he describes music as a universal language because he was touched by international acts who convinced him that there is light. ”I believe that I can also heal other people with my lyrics,” he stated.
The artist would like to uplift others and give them hope through his messages which are based on love, overcoming struggles, unity, and embracing oneself. His message to young people is that there is a significant reason why they love music so they must connect with their inner child with the knowledge that music lasts forever. He mentioned that his main influence musically is Mariam Makeba and like her, he wants to be remembered as someone who made a difference.
”I see myself helping as many kids as possible in my community because it’s no longer about me and I have learned that success is not for one man,” he concluded.
He can be contacted on social media as Fede Fokol 018.
