Local authors invited to celebrate World Book Day

Potential writers will also be ale to benefit.

World Book Day will be celebrated in Wedela from 10:00 on 23 April at Wedela.

The celebration of World Book Day takes place worldwide annually in order to promote the enjoyment of books and reading as well as recognizing the power of books linking between the past and the future.

This year in Merafong there will be a workshop/master class for writers, authors and poets who have or would like to publish their own books as well as those are interesting in becoming writers.

There will also be public speaking and word ruffling for local primary school learners.

A Librarian at Khutsong Library, Palesa Mabaso, mentioned that authors are invited to participate and attend the master class as it will help to further their careers and transport as well as catering will be available.
