The search for Koketso Maroganhe (20) from Kokosi, who had been missing since May 12, has ended in tragedy. His body was discovered on the afternoon of May 21 near cattle kraals behind Kokosi, following an intense search by police and family members.

Maroganhe was last seen at Carletonville Hospital, where he reportedly left with unknown men before opening a hospital file. After days of uncertainty, it was his family who ultimately found his body in a remote area behind the township.

A post-mortem conducted on May 23 indicated that Maroganhe died from multiple stab wounds, indicating a violent end to his life. Police have since opened a murder case, and investigations are ongoing.

The police are calling on members of the public who may have information about Koketso’s disappearance or murder to come forward.
