Mzega Fashion Week set to light up Khutsong on Youth Day

Don’t miss this vibrant Merafong event!

A vibrant celebration of fashion, creativity, and youth is set to unfold on Monday, 16 June as Mzega Fashion Week makes its much-anticipated debut at the Italian Car Wash in Khutsong Extension 4. Coinciding with Youth Day, the event is themed “Everyday Ke Fashion Show”, meaning every day is a fashion show—a powerful message promoting daily self-expression through style.

“Mzega,” a popular street name for Merafong, brings local culture to the forefront with this exciting new initiative, which aims to unite fashion lovers, local brands, models, designers, and artists on one dynamic platform.

What makes Mzega Fashion Week special?

Founded by local creatives Cloudy Raphela and Thabang Moon, the event stands out as the first of its kind in Merafong. While the area has seen various community-based projects, a fashion event of this scale and creative vision is unprecedented.

The show promises:

  • Stunning runway presentations by local designers

  • Live performances by artists and DJs

  • Delicious township cuisine

  • A festive and inclusive community vibe

The event kicks off at 14:00 and will run until late, featuring a lineup designed to entertain, inspire, and empower.
