Carletonville United Taxi Association urges members to attend crucial meeting
A previous session failed due to lack of quorum.
The Carletonville United Taxi Association (CUTA) held an important meeting on Wednesday, 11 June, at the Eds Toyota Building on Annan Road. The session was scheduled as a nomination meeting but could not proceed due to the absence of a quorum.
Despite this, the association’s interim committee worked diligently to ensure that the administrative process followed the correct procedures, as outlined by the South African National Taxi Council (SANTACO) and the Western Region.
The interim leadership currently consists of Acting Chairperson Mr Touch Mathebula, Acting Secretary Mrs Charmaine Khashane Kgakatse, along with Mr Tino Mohloboli, Mr V Matai, and Mr E Seguca.
In addition to leadership matters, the meeting highlighted recent changes in taxi industry regulations aimed at enhancing passenger safety and improving service quality. These developments reflect the association’s commitment to progress and professionalism.
All members of the association are urgently invited to attend the final meeting, which will take place on 25 June at the same venue on Annan Road, at the Eds Toyota Building. This meeting is critical to finalising nominations and ensuring the association continues functioning effectively.
