Armed robbery at tuck shop in Blyvoor: Suspects flee with cash, phones, and vehicle

Police are investigating.

An armed robbery shocked the community of Blyvoor this week when two suspects targeted a local family business in broad daylight.

On Sunday, October 6, at around 15:00, the son (34) of the owner of Awet Tuck Shop on 11th Street, along with his cousin, was offloading stock from a white Isuzu bakkie when two unknown men approached them. One of the suspects drew a firearm and demanded the vehicle’s keys.

The suspects forced the victims to lie on the ground and proceeded to rob them of their mobile phones and cash. They also entered the shop, stole money from the cash register, and took the airtime machine.

The robbers fled the scene in the white Isuzu bakkie with registration number FV 36 LV GP.

The police in Carletonville are investigating the incident, and community members are urged to report any information that may help identify the suspects or recover the stolen vehicle.
