The Carletonville SPCA has kicked off an exciting new initiative called the “Santa Paws Box” project, designed to bring comfort and care to animals at their facility during the upcoming Festive Season. This project follows the popular “shoebox” donation trend by encouraging community members to assemble boxes filled with much-needed items for shelter animals.

Residents can create boxes tailored for small or large dogs, including essentials such as stainless-steel food and water bowls, a can of wet dog food, and a cozy blanket. Cat lovers can also participate by preparing similar boxes for cats, substituting dog food with cat food.

In addition to pet food boxes, the SPCA welcomes “cleaning boxes” containing supplies like Jeyes Fluid, washing powder, and pine gel, which help maintain a clean and healthy environment for the animals.

For those who may not have time to assemble a box, sponsorship options are available to contribute toward the project.
