Police have made a grim discovery in the Blybank area this week after a man kidnapped earlier this month was found dead.

The investigation took a turn on January 28 when three suspects, allegedly involved in a house robbery and kidnapping in Bekkersdal, led officers to a spot in the Carletonville area.

The victim had been missing since January 15.

Although the suspects claimed they had left the man alive in the open veld, the search ended in tragedy.

When police arrived at the location last week, they found the man’s body dumped next to the R559 heading toward Randfontein, just past the Bank Road turn-off.

Following the discovery, the three men were arrested.
