Woman robbed after withdrawing cash at ATM in Oberholzer
Police have urged residents to be cautious when withdrawing cash after a woman was robbed outside an ABSA ATM in Van Zyl Smit Street in Oberholzer. The suspect grabbed her handbag through her car window and fled with cash and important documents.
The police warn residents to be especially careful when withdrawing money in Oberholzer.
During the past week, a woman went to withdraw money at the ABSA ATM in Van Zyl Smit Street in Oberholzer. She had just climbed back into her car when an unknown man stormed her vehicle.
He reached through her open window, grabbed her handbag, and ran away.
The woman had just withdrawn a large amount of cash. Her and her husband’s important documents were also in her handbag.
The police ask residents who go to this area, or who go to withdraw money, to look out for criminals who lurk around.
If something makes you feel uncomfortable, rather go to another ATM or withdraw money later.
