Blyvooruitzicht resident shocked as armed intruders strike at night

A group of men allegedly stormed into a home in 1st Avenue during the early hours of May 10, demanding firearms and cash before fleeing with valuables.

Over the weekend, another house robbery occurred in Blyvooruitzicht.

A resident living on 1st Avenue was sleeping in his room at approximately 02:00 on May 10 when he was awoken by a group of men who stormed inside.

The intruders spoke isiXhosa and demanded that the man hand over firearms and money.
When he told them that he did not have these items, the men began searching his room.

They stole a plasma TV, a laptop, clothing, four mobile phones, and cash before running away from the scene.
