The Carletonville SPCA is appealing to animal lovers to open their hearts and homes to the many dogs and cats currently waiting to be adopted.

A large number of puppies and kittens, as well as adult animals, are available for adoption at the SPCA’s kennels in Beerster Street.

Prospective pet owners can visit the kennels from 09:00 to 16:00 on weekdays and from 08:00 to 11:00 on Saturdays to meet the animals looking for forever homes.

The SPCA also reminds pet owners to contact the organisation if their pets go missing, as many stray animals found by members of the public are brought to its kennels.
