Tamara du Toit entered her second Battle of the Giants on the 10th and 11th April, held in Sun City. And yet again she proved herself to be one of the dance giants.
Tamara du Toit danced with poise and grace into the final of the Slowdance Champion section and cinched top honours with a much sought after first place. This is an enormous achievement as the sections were extremely big and difficult. Tamara also competed in the World Trial Circuit division for Disco and she made it to the semi-finals.
Meghan Sim-Evans is a very happy and proud trainer. Tamara’s parents, Glynn and Connie du Toit are very thrilled and happy for their daughter’s achievements.
Tamara turned 12 in April of this year. She held onto her previous age group victory by winning the 12-13 year Slowdance Section at the Easter Freestyle Championships. She also achieved a very impressive 2nd place in the 12-15 World Trial Circuit Disco section. This is a remarkable achievement and evidence of her continuity as a top class Champion Dancer.
Meghan is currently training Tamara du Toit who will be representing SA in Romania in June 2015. As part of the South African Dance Team, Tamara will be representing South Africa and sporting the South African Dance Team jacket, t-shirt, bag and South African flag. The South African Team will be the special guests at the opening ceremony of the 2015 World Finals in Romania
Since March, Tamara’s parents have been actively looking for sponsorships and donations and have managed through raffles, fundraising events, anonymous donations, and own savings to accumulate half of the required amount, but are finding it extremely difficult to come up with the balance before the deadline which is the 20th of June 2015.
Anyone who is willing to assist financially please contact Tamara’s mom, Connie @ 082 967 8190
