Deelkraal Mini-Market owner and worker held up at gunpoint

Luckily no-one was injured.

Business robberies in the Carletonville area have seen a significant rise recently, with another incident reported on November 14.

The owner of the Deelkraal Mini-Market and a co-worker were inside the store when two unknown men entered at 11:15.

According to reports one went to the counter to buy cigarettes while the other stood at the fridge.

One suspect pulled out a firearm and demanded the owner unlock the gate to gain access to the back of the counter and the cash register.

The suspects helped themselves to money from the till, cigarettes, and two cellphones before fleeing the scene.

Business owners are urged to be cautious.
