Masked robbers armed with gun and panga attack family in Reinecke Street
Police are investigating the incident.
A group of masked robbers struck a home in Reinecke Street, Carletonville, on the night of July 9 in a chilling house robbery that left residents shaken.
At around 22:30, a 21-year-old resident was watching television with her family when two masked men suddenly forced their way into the home. One of the attackers was armed with a firearm, while the other carried a panga.
The intruders threatened the family, forcing them to lie on the ground before tying them up. They then ransacked the house, making off with an undisclosed amount of money, several cellphones, the family’s television set, and a pair of headphones.
The suspects fled the scene immediately after the robbery.
The Carletonville police have since opened a case of house robbery and are actively investigating the matter. Anyone with information is urged to contact local authorities.
