As a landmark in the South of Joburg, The Glen Shopping Centre has been serving the public for almost 20 years and on October 28, its birthday will be celebrated.

The centre has changed its look over the years and most recently has undergone a huge refurbishment with its new entertainment and food hall, as well as the whole centre being retiled and the restrooms modernised. A new Customer Information Desk will be complete by the end of July.

The Glen is a family shopping centre where everyone is catered for. You’ll be able to bring the family and experience great entertainment, which includes the fantastic i Jump (plus Sliders restaurant), Mr Funtubbles (a brilliant gaming arcade under one roof) and movies with Nu Metro, offering a VIP Cinema, Scene VIP with a bar and restaurant area as well as Scene Extreme.

New stores which will be coming into the centre soon are Crazy Store, Giordano and Miniso and you can expect some exciting expos in the next few months.

First off will be Canine Zone Pet Expo, which will take place from August 24 to 26 on the rooftop and with displays throughout the centre. Demonstrations will be held on the rooftop including the SAPS Dog Unit. Feel free to bring your well-behaved dog on a leash, which will be welcome to join in the fun on the rooftop.

A German car show can be enjoyed on September 2 and also in September the Everything Kids Expo from September 28 to 30. Both will be held on the rooftop, with other features in the centre.

All of this, coupled with an onsite eco-friendly car wash, Inside Shield, using a recycled water facility. Shoppers can make use of this added benefit while shopping.

Twenty years of supporting the South, The Glen Shopping Centre is here to stay!
