Walker dies in nature reserve
Immediate resuscitation efforts were started, but unfortunately they were unsuccessful and the man was declared dead on the scene.
AN elderly man died while hiking with a group of people in Klipriviersberg Nature Reserve on Wednesday, May 10.
The man was not breathing by the time ER24 paramedics found him lying in the hiking trail just before 11am.
Immediate resuscitation efforts were started, but unfortunately they were unsuccessful and the man was declared dead on the scene.
It is believed that the man suffered an asthma attack before paramedics could get to him.
ER24 paramedics notified local authorities of the incident.
