TOWNSVIEW Primary School took reading to a whole new level on September 15, in celebration of children reading.
Learners and teachers all dressed up as their favorite characters in their favorite storybooks.
Spiderman, Aladin, and Hansel and Gretel were spotted among a variety of children and teachers dressed up in costumes all for the party.
The unique dress up for reading day saw the best-dressed learners awarded on the day with a photo for the newspaper and a book.
“Grade One to Seven all supported the reading initiative,” said teacher Pascha Jacobs.
She said teachers also took the reading challenge to dress up like their favourite character in a storybook which saw one of the teachers dressed as Aladin.
The initiative was in support of the national reading campaign to get learners to read more.
