WATCH: Cars burn, gas tankers explode on R82 Reddy’s Scrapyard grass fire
People, pets, and cars have been removed from the buildings.
A fire broke out this afternoon, July 31 at about 2 pm at Reddy’s Scrapyard in Plot 84 Tedderfield R82.
According to Craig Clark, Deputy Sector Manager from Compol, “Community Police De Deur Sector 2 reported a grass fire first to Midvaal Fire”.
“The fire went into the scrapyard which led to the burning of cars in the scrapyard and some petrol, oil, and gas tankers exploding on the property next door,” added Craig Clark
WATCH:
One person has been taken to hospital for smoke inhalation.
People, pets, and cars have been removed from the buildings.
The cause of the fire is still unknown.
