Business breakfast focuses on mental health and wellness

SOJO Business Network Breakfast, March 24

The buzzword trending for 2023 is mental healthcare and awareness. Now more than ever before, mental healthcare and awareness is a rising trend.

During SOJO’s Business Network Breakfast on March 24, the focus will be on Reduce Burnout Risk in 2023 and wellness.

The speaker panel will offer practical tools to help identify and navigate a healthier, more sustainable and managed lifestyle.

Registration is at 07:30 with the event running from 08:00 to 10:30 at Lattelicious Restaurant, Aspen Village, Aspen Lakes Drive, Aspen Hills.

Cost is R250 per person and R200 for SOJO members.

Meet the speaker panel

• Liz from The Oxygen Studio is a marketing consultant but in 2019 she was diagnosed with stage 4b cancer and began looking into natural cancer treatments. She started her journey of treatment and recovery with hyperbaric oxygen therapy and shortly after The Oxygen Studio came about.

• Mems from Bee African has set out to create a social/environmental movement aimed at repairing and reshaping our ways for sustainability in line with the bee social structure. She is about collaborating with others in creating sustainable employment opportunities in rural communities through bees as a catalyst, resulting in more greener spaces; strengthened food and nutrition security; and balanced ecosystems.

• Yoonus from Green Heart Farmacy studied pharmacy at the University of Durban but went on to become a highly successful soccer coach. After his boys were sadly misdiagnosed with epilepsy and their lives were devastatingly altered by medical drugs and treatment, he started a journey of seeking alternatives about 30 years ago. This led to his active involvement in bringing alternative food and medical solutions to ailing communities.

• Claudia from Azura Body Mind Soul completed her certification in travel and tourism, but realised after the sudden tragic death of her sister and father that her true passion lay in assisting others work through their own challenges. She attended various courses in grief, trauma and child counselling. Claudia’s passion extends to dedicating most of her free time volunteering to counsel members of her community, who have become victims of trauma as a result of crimes, home invasions, hijacking, rape and suicide.

• Cassandra from Azura Body Mind Soul is a qualified financial advisor and has a degree in criminology. She has her international certification for life coaching and neuro-linguistic programming and is a licensed practitioner, as well as completed various qualifications in trauma and grief counselling. She wants to assist her clients in achieving their full potential both financially and personally, while spending her spare time working with the victim support unit, offering counselling to victims of crime such as murder, suicide, and home invasions.
