Walking Tall With Pride shows appreciation to Ridge Park Sport Club

The organisation run by Anton Gilmore, Paulina Houniet, and Marie Ellis has been feeding the underprivileged thanks to the weekly contributions from the Club's kind Peter Muller and the use of his facility.

Walking Tall With Pride presented Ridge Park Sports Club with a token of appreciation in recognition of the club’s support and contribution to the success of the organisation’s feeding scheme.

The organisation, run by Anton Gilmore, Paulina Houniet and Marie Ellis, has been feeding the underprivileged thanks to the weekly contributions from the club’s kind Peter Muller and the use of his facility.

Every Wednesday the community has been served delicious food.

Houniet said they have been doing a feeding scheme at the club since February of last year.

“Peter Muller has been one of our greatest supporters, he has been letting us do the feeding scheme at his facility. The chef cooks the food at no cost and we pay for the food every week and he covers 50% of that.

“He is incredibly generous, and what he does for us and the community is enormous, and we want him to know how much we appreciate him and what he does for the community. Every week, we feed approximately 160 people, and he is always willing to assist us.

“We would not feed everyone in the neighborhood if it weren’t for Peter. We’d like to thank everyone on your team who helps us every week with cooking, setting up, and cleaning up, all with big smiles on their faces,” said Houniet.

Walking Tall with Pride is an initiative built from an idea to provide destitute people with a hot meal once a week, as well as some life essentials such as clothing and groceries. They are currently serving about 160 meals every Wednesday at 13:00 at Ridge Park Sports Club to adults and children in the community.
