Locals battle it out during a braai off

Makro Alberton customers who stood a chance of winning one of 22 Jacques Kallis signed and framed cricket bats to the value of R15 000 each won whopping prizes on September 23.

Makro Alberton customers had their hands full over the weekend after walking away with amazing prizes.

This is after they were selected to take part in a braai off competition outside the store.

Contestants Tshepo Segule, Itumeleng Ramontsa, Byrone Geldenhuys and Rose Beukman.

Locals Tshepo Segule, Itumeleng Ramontsa and Rose Beukman, who had Byrone Geldenhuys take part in the competition on her behalf, battled for honours.

To qualify to compete, customers had to buy any Jacques Kallis product in-store to win the grand prize.

Itumeleng took third place, and she won a R1 000 meat hamper courtesy of Delthorn Wholesale Butcheries and Africa Spice. Tshepo came in second place, winning a R2 000 meat hamper.

The grand winner was Beukman, who won the signed and framed Jacques Kallis cricket bat to the value of R15 000.

Makro’s Freedom Ndlovu said the competition was done across all 22 stores nationally.
