SA Guide Dogs Association announces its Family Fun Day

Bring the whole family and enjoy a fun-filled day with the SA Guide Dogs Association.

The SA Guide Dogs Association for the Blind is excited to announce its annual Family Fun Day that will be held on Sunday 10 March 2024 on the premises of the Association.

The theme for this year’s event is LEAPS OF FUN, celebrating the leap year. We have a fun-filled program planned for the day with lots of exciting activities.

Come and see our puppies in training wear the cutest outfits, or watch our Assistance Dogs demonstrate their unique skills in our arena events.

Take a tour of our beautiful facility or relax in the “Paws a bit” tea garden under the big tree.

This year, the College of Orientation and Mobility are celebrating 50 years of training practitioners in South Africa as well as 10 years of offering our services to the South African communities. They are putting on a fantastic demo of their amazing skills and services. Are you brave enough to take on the simulation experience? Or to do a blindfold walk with a guide dog?

The Kids Zone promises leaps of fun with face painting, a jumping castle, a magician, a puppet show by Leo’s Edutainment and some more surprises.

Visitors can enjoy the entertainment in the arena whilst cooling off at our Beer Garden, indulge in delicious eats and treats or shop at the variety of vendors at the market on the day.

That’s not all! You can also leave the day as the winner of a brand new Suzuki Swift! Enter our car raffle competition where you stand double the chance of winning a brand new Suzuki Swift MT!  For just R100, you will get two entries into the draw!

Raffle tickets can be purchased on the day and we will also be announcing the lucky winner at this fun filled festival. [Proudly sponsored by Suzuki Kyalami, Mix 93.8 FM will also be doing a live broadcast on the day at our Leaps of Fun Family Festival and the Suzuki team are preparing an exciting demo where you can drive a Jimny blindfolded!

Bring the whole family and enjoy a fun-filled day with the SA Guide Dogs Association.
