Successful medical screening day at Mulbarton Masjid

The public is encouraged to always take care of their health by using the free or regularly screenings made available to them.

The inaugural medical screening day was a great success, with nearly 300 individuals screened between 09:00 and 13:00.

The Mulbarton Masjied, in collaboration with Islamic Medical Association SA (IMASA) Johannesburg, Al Imdaad Foundation SA, Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture Association of Africa (CMAAA), Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP), Hijama Cupping, SANBS, and Fordsburg Muslim Youth Organisation (FMYO), joined forces to host a free medical screening program to serve the community.

The diverse range of services provided was well-received and greatly appreciated by all attendees.

Commitee member, Yaseen Kolia said: “A special thank you goes out to our dedicated medical and general volunteers who worked tirelessly throughout the day to ensure the smooth running of the programme and the compassionate care of each patient.

BRAS Consultants volunteered their time to assist.

“We also extend our gratitude to the Mulbarton Masjid committee for their warm hospitality and efficient organisation, which allowed us to effectively share the expertise of our healthcare providers.”

Looking ahead, the organisations are excited about the opportunity to cultivate strong, long-term relationships with the Mulbarton community.
