Cyclists embark on unforgettable ride through the scenic landscapes

The Parys Out Ride well organised event united cyclists of all levels, leaving no one left out.

Cycling enthusiasts gathered on September 29 for the highly anticipated Parys Out Ride, expertly organised by Bike Barn, a leading local bicycle store.

The event drew a fantastic turnout with cyclists of all levels participating in an unforgettable ride through the scenic landscapes from Alberton to Parys.

The Parys Out Ride offered two challenging routes, 120km and 60km, catering to cyclists of all levels, from seasoned athletes to recreational riders.

According to Dion Perry of Bike Barn, the 120km route was designed for seasoned cyclists seeking an endurance ride, while the 60km route provided a shorter, yet equally scenic, challenge for those preferring a more moderate pace.

Both routes showcased stunning views and varied terrain, ensuring a rewarding experience for all participants.

To accommodate different riding styles, the event was divided into three distinct groups:

Fast group: For cyclists aiming to push their limits and maintain a high-speed pace.

Medium group: Designed for those seeking a balance between endurance and enjoyment.

Slow group: Perfect for cyclists wanting to take it easy, enjoy the scenery, and ride at a leisurely pace.

Each group received dedicated support from backup vehicles, allowing riders to focus on their performance and enjoyment.

Bike Barn ensured participants’ needs were met with three strategically placed watering and fuelling points.

“The Parys Out Ride was more than just a cycling event, it was a celebration of camaraderie, scenic beauty, and shared passion,” said Perry.

Riders from diverse backgrounds and skill levels came together, creating an unforgettable experience.

Bike Barn extended gratitude to their sponsors Six Red Marbles, Omnico, and Rush Sports for their invaluable support.
