Mondeor residents to form accountability forum

The meeting focused on pressing issues like infrastructure, service delivery and community development in Mondeor.

Since its inception, the Action for Accountability (A4A) project has empowered Mondeor residents to advocate for transparency actively and hold public officials accountable.

The A4A project in Mondeor hosted its final town hall meeting at the Mondeor Baptist Church, marking the end of a transformative three-year initiative to strengthen service delivery accountability and promote good governance in the community.

The meeting served as a celebration of the project’s accomplishments and a platform for discussions on the community’s ongoing challenges.

The Civic Action Team (CAT), which spearheaded these efforts, highlighted achievements like addressing infrastructure issues, improving environmental upkeep and advocating for better public safety measures.

The event saw Pilisiwe Thwala-Tau address the attendees. She emphasised accountability’s vital role at societal and individual levels.
