ACT donates 25 baby support packs to new moms at South Rand Hospital

Your support will help ACT make an even greater difference in the community.

Africa Community Thusa (ACT) recently donated 25 baby support packs to new mothers at South Rand Hospital.

With over 15 years of experience in serving and supporting its beneficiaries, ACT has built strong relationships with local organisations to create a lasting impact in the community.

One of the organisation’s most rewarding projects is supplying new moms at South Rand Hospital with essential baby support packs.

These packs, carefully packed by ACT volunteers, are a vital resource for many mothers who lack basic necessities for their babies, including toiletries, blankets, and clothing.

Tammy du Plooy, a committed member of ACT, shared that items like teddy bears, fluffy toys, and knitted pieces bring immense joy to new moms.

“The teddy and fluffy toy, along with the knitted items, are always such a joy for the moms,” she said. “We try to visit regularly, but it depends on the donations we receive.”

ACT relies on public donations to continue its mission.

If you’re able to assist with toiletries, knitted items, or fluffy toys, please contact Tammy at 082 371 7053.
