Miss Turffontein spreads joy at St Mary’s Children’s Home

With arms full of donations and a heart full of hope, Miss Turffontein Queen 2024 led an outreach.

Miss Turffontein 2024, Melov Munya Nkele, recently hosted an outreach with the support of Renaissance Youth in Action (RYIAC).

A few passionate youth members from RYIAC volunteered their time and energy to assist Melov in promoting the campaign and collecting donations.

With their help, Miss Turffontein gathered a generous number of books, toys, clothes, blankets, and snacks, which they delivered to St Mary’s Children’s Home.

“Our visit began with a word of prayer and introductions, followed by joyful activities with the little ones, fun games, and an uplifting message about rejoicing in the Lord,” shared Melov.

They later engaged the older children in friendly soccer and netball matches, creating meaningful interactions with the volunteers.

“We also took a tour of the home and were pleased to see that the living environment was clean and well-maintained,” added the young model.

Before closing their visit in prayer, the reigning queen encouraged the children to be leaders, not followers of trends, but trendsetters.

The visit culminated in the distribution of the collected items.

Melov shared that it was heartwarming to see the joy on the children’s faces.

“I acknowledge and thank Renaissance Youth in Action (RYIAC) for their incredible support and everyone who contributed to making this outreach a success,” expressed Melov.
