SOJO Business and Tourism leads the way in uplifting Joburg South

SOJO’s influencer-led Stay Another Day initiative highlights Joburg South as a thriving destination aiming to uplift the region and showcasing the community’s vibrant spirit.

SOJO Business & Tourism celebrates Tourism Month with the launch of its new influencer-driven initiative, Stay Another Day in Joburg South, unveiled at the successful #Holler event at Gold Reef City.

Building on the success of its previous Jewels of the South influencer campaign, this new initiative continues to highlight Johannesburg South as a thriving tourism and lifestyle destination in Gauteng.

Through curated itineraries and immersive experiences, the campaign invites visitors to extend their stay and explore the region’s diverse attractions, from iconic leisure venues and luxurious hotels to family-friendly spots, stylish shopping and hidden gems.

The launch brought together a dynamic line-up of celebrated influencers, including Lloyd Cele, Innocent Sadiki, Millicent Mashile of the CentTWINZ, and Ratile Mabotja, who participated in a series of experiences showcasing the South’s unique blend of entertainment, hospitality and culture.

“Tourism Month is about celebrating South Africa’s rich diversity and encouraging both locals and visitors to experience more of what our communities have to offer,” said SOJO Business and Tourism CEO Nicky Vakaloudis.

“With Stay Another Day in Joburg South, we are not just showcasing attractions, we are creating authentic stories through the eyes of influencers who inspire audiences to discover and enjoy the south of Johannesburg.”

Over several weeks, influencers visited and highlighted premier destinations such as Gold Reef City, Mall of the South, Thaba Eco Hotel and Spa, FNB Stadium, the Apartheid Museum, The Glen Shopping Centre, 4Racing’s Turffontein Racecourse and the Johannesburg Expo Centre.
