Thaba Trails, the place for outdoor activities

Summer is here and the people of the south can come enjoy the various activities that Thaba Trails has to offer.

There are various sporting activities for the family that can be enjoyed. Wendell, the owner, wants to create a sense of Wellness and Fitness” by getting the visitors to come and partake in the activities so that the healthier lifestyle is promoted. There is nothing more pleasing to see families enjoy the outdoor activities together.

The mountain bike park is well known throughout South Africa and there are routes for all the various types of riders, from novice to hard core. From hosting a downhill race to a 24hour race in aid of Choc, the bike park is able to fulfil the needs of any rider.

For the kiddies there is also a monthly kiddies skills classes provided for budding mountain bikers, with qualified cyclists teaching the kids the best way.

Fitness with Michelle provides boot camp classes on Saturday’s on the grass under the fruit trees.

There are 2 sessions, the early morning session is at 06h30 and the later session at 08h00. The sessions are both 60 minutes long.

No contracts are needed and the cost is R50 per person and all the equipment is supplied. Drop-ins by both males and females are welcome!

One of the growing disciplines is trail running. There are various routes that can be run, from the more technical routes to the easier jeep track routes. The benefit of trail running is that it is in a safe area and the runner can concentrate of what they love best, running!! Occasionally night runs are held. To ensure that everybody has the best experience of the venue, it must be noted that Thaba Trails is private land and all rules and regulations must be adhered. All visitors, must report to the office to sign in and pay for the activity they wish to participate in.
