Fun day out in support of James Read

The tickets for this area only cost R100 instead of the usual R150 - if you're interested in a fun day out and supporting our little James.

After a long four-month wait, a donor was found and James Read had his stem cell transplant on Wednesday, October 22 in the Great Ormond Street Hospital in London. Now, little James, Chris and Lee patiently wait out at least the next 100 days in hospital for the new donor stem cells to be accepted by his body and for James to start the long recovery process.

James’s major fight to conquer his JMML has touched many hearts, and organisers has donated 100 tickets to this fantastic event at the Turffontein race course on Saturday November 1 as a way to raise funds for this special family.

The event is called the Bourbon, Beer and Burger festival, and the area is situated on the grass right next to the race track and parade ring, which is reserved exclusively for ticket holders. This area caters for the whole family, so you can either go without kids or take them along too. There will be a kids entertainment area including a carousal, face painting and jumping castle, mouth-watering pop-up food stalls and exquisite craft beer sellers.

The tickets for this area only cost R100 instead of the usual R150 – so if you’re interested in a fun day out, and supporting our little James, please send email to jamesread@gmail.com and they will provide you with details on how to book your tickets.
