Excitement hits Alberton with Home Run Derby success
Players, management and fundraising committee had a huge part to play in making the event a success.
Activities kicked off promptly for the Home Run Derby at 11:30 at Alberton Football Club on November 2.
Here are the results:
Adult men:
• First – Jarrod Kleber
• Second – Camren van der Watt
• Third – Donovan Saayman
Adult ladies:
• First place – Kirame Kleber
Age 13 to 18:
• First place – Liam Peterson
• Second place – Conner Grieve
12 and under:
• First place – Jayden Edwards
• Second place – Tyler Niemand
Base running for kids:
• First – Eric Eardley
• Second – Neriah Kahn
• Third – Tyler Niemand
Taryn Niemand, one of the organisers said, “There were various stalls, a dunk tank and lots of food on sale during the day. The day went on very late until about 17:30. Thank you to everyone for supporting us during the heat.
The flash tattoo stall was the most popular with them being booked out the whole day doing tattoos.
