Castle Lager and Big Save invite South Africans to come together and celebrate Heritage Day on September 24.
Castle Lager, South Africa’s 130-year-old beer brand, has partnered with Big Save to host the World’s Biggest Braai on September 24, 2025.
The event will bring thousands of people together to celebrate Heritage Day.
Thomas Lawrence, Brand Director at Castle Lager, said the campaign mixes culture and community.
“Our Grillboard, which is a billboard with a built-in braai, invites everyone to join in. It’s creating buzz and real excitement.”

The Grillboard was first revealed at a bus stop on Vilakazi Street in Soweto. Locals enjoyed free boerewors rolls and were invited to scan a QR code to take part in the event.
