Mondeor Primary triumphs at Calvary Christian College Soccer Tournament

The real win of the day wasn’t just the trophy, it was the kindness and respect shown by players.

Calvary Christian College recently hosted the annual Primary School Soccer Tournament.

Learners from 10 different schools gathered to compete, enjoy the game and show their team spirit.

The boys played with enthusiasm, giving their all in every match. After an impressive display of skill and determination, Mondeor Primary emerged as the champions, holding their ground with perseverance until the final whistle.

However, the true highlight of the day was the players’ sportsmanship. Players consistently supported their teammates, congratulated their opponents, and showed respect both on and off the field. “Romans 12:10 reminds us to be devoted to one another in love and to honour one another above yourselves,” said a school representative.

“Soccer is not just about scoring goals. It’s about teamwork, respect, and giving your best. These values are not only crucial in the field but will also guide you throughout life,” added the school. Each match was played with heart and taught valuable lessons that open doors to future opportunities and lasting friendships for these learners.
