GALLERY: Harry Park Drive clean-up

“We came together because we want to turn Harry Park into a beautiful park for the children to come with families and play.”

Bright Horizon teacher Raseebah Latib held a clean-up drive in Harry Park Drive on December 4.

“The clean-up was initiated by myself, Sabrehah Khan and Glyn Bic.
“Our councillor Rashieda Landis backed us, as well as City Parks.
“The community volunteered in the drive.
“Since I am a teacher my learners and their parents came to help,” she said.
“The community was amazing and we sponsored them with water and masks.
“We came together because we want to turn Harry Park into a beautiful park for the children to come with families and play.”

She added that they are looking for ways to upgrade the park.

“Our councillor was also picking up litter with us.
“It was a beautiful day with an amazing environment as we got to know our neighbours better.
“We are happy to be working together in keeping our environment safe and clean.
“I want to thank everyone who came in numbers to support the initiative.
“The children were amazing and picked up litter with us.”
