Gloomy weather no deterrent for Uncle Baboo and Crew

Bad weather did not prevent Uncle Baboo and Crew to deliver food to the community.

The cold and rainy weather did not dampen the spirit of giving for Uncle Baboo and Crew on August 28.

They prepared three dhegs of chicken soup and four dhegs of Akhni. This was packaged to create 530 meals ready for distribution in the South and surrounding areas.

Uncle Baboo said as their weekly routine, they also distributed Akhni in Riverlea.

“This week we decided to assist at Moffat View Retirement Village. We went to each household and delivered the soup, so the elderly did not have to come out in the icy cold weather.

“We thank our generous sponsors for assisting us in eradicating hunger with every meal we provide. Baboo’s Crew is a highly dedicated team that is always willing to lend a helping hand, no rain or wind will stop them in their service to the community and for this, we are grateful to them,” he said.
