Lord Milner rules on soccer field
The young soccer stars of Lord Milner Primary School (LMPS) in Settlers, secured second place in the Waterberg Championship.

On Saturday, 24 August the top four teams in the Waterberg Soccer Championships competed at the Modimolle Stadium.
LMPS played their first game against Nylstroom Primary School and although at the onset of the game, their opponents appeared bigger than them, LMPS managed to pull off a 3-2 victory.
They were then set to face their fierce rivals from Eenheid Primary School in Modimolle.
The game started slow, and LMPS struggled to get possession of the ball, but when the opportunity finally came, Lord Milner scored the first goal. Shortly after the start of the second half,
Eenheid scored two goals, one from a free kick, and one from a disputed goal. The match ended in favour of Eenheid Primary School, with a score of 2-1. Nape Matlaila was awarded Defender of the Tournament and Mduduzi Yende was awarded Midfielder of the Tournament. Coach Kamogelo Mokonyane won the Best Coach award.
The school and coach Mokonyane are very proud of the young soccer team. A total of 11 players from Lord Milner have been selected for the Waterberg Soccer Team, which will compete against teams like Sundowns Juniors, at a date to be announced.
