Stock theft suspects caught redhanded

Two men were arrested in Tuinplaas after the police found two heads of cattle, tied up in the back of their vehicle.

The suspects, who drove a Toyota Hilux bakkie, were stopped during a routine stop and search along the R516 road at around 06:00 on Thursday, May 16. Members of the Tuinplaas Community Service Centre found the cattle under a canvas tarpaulin and the suspects, aged 39 and 56, were arrested on the spot for having suspected stolen livestock and animal cruelty.

The Provincial Commissioner of Police in Limpopo, Lt Genl Thembi Hadebe, has applauded the Police for the job well done.

Police investigations into the matter are ongoing.
