Outdoor sporting and social events were likely to be disrupted by more rain in parts of the Waterberg over the weekend.

The Weather Service has forecast a downpour in Bela-Bela on Friday 1 November, following a cloud burst over the town on Sunday 27 October.

Parts of the local township were plunged into darkness, but The BEAT was unable to confirm if the disruptions were a result of the inclement weather.

Municipal spokesperson Kabelo Mosito was not available for comment at the time of going to print.

The BEAT photographer Herman Steyn had a field day, taking pictures of youngsters having fun, playing in the puddles on Sunday.

The weatherman has also forecast cloudy skies with a chance of showers for Modimolle on Saturday 2 November, conditions which may play havoc with Waterberg Men’s League fixtures, and other
outdoor social events.

In Mookgophong the weatherman has forecast light rain for Sunday 3 November.

All in all, the weather service has forecast cloudy conditions for Bela-Bela on Saturday, and partly cloudy skies on Sunday.

The forecast for Modimolle is sunny but cloudy skies on Friday, and sunny conditions on Sunday.

Cloudy conditions have been forecast for Mookgophong on Friday, with light clouds on Saturday.
