The woman who suffered injuries at the scene of an accident in downtown Bela-Bela, Alet Cronje (64), has died.
The woman who suffered injuries at the scene of an accident in downtown Bela-Bela, Alet Cronje (64), has died.
The accident happened on the corner of Chris Hani Street and Pretoria Street on Thursday 31 October.
Bela-Bela police station commander, Colonel Abel Phetla, said the woman died on Tuesday 5 November at the Polokwane Provincial Hospital where she was admitted for CT scans and other medical conditions.
At the time of the accident, the deceased reportedly lost control of the vehicle, which rolled and skidded several times, before hitting a street light.
The driver was rushed to the local hospital for medical attention, where she was later referred to Polokwane Provincial Hospital.
Phetla said the deceased was seriously injured and the police were investigating the accident.
