Nigerian national in court for (drug dealing)

A Nigerian by birth, who became a legal South African citizen earlier this year, is expected to appear before the Bela-Bela Magistrate’s Court shortly in connection with a charge of dealing in drugs.

A Nigerian by birth, who became a legal South African citizen earlier this year, is expected to appear before the Bela-Bela Magistrate’s Court shortly in connection with a charge of dealing in drugs.

The suspect, identified as Uche Anointed Udemba, was arrested on Thursday 7 November in Spa Park.

Bela-Bela police station commander, Colonel Abel Phetla, said the police received a tip-off from an informer on the day in question.

He said the suspect was traced, searched, and was found in possession of 80 packets of crystal drugs with an estimated street value of R7 000, and 32 packets of CAT with a street value of R3
000.

He made his first court appearance on Monday 11 November on a charge of dealing and possession of drugs.

The suspect returns to court on Monday 18 November.
