Doctor bids Bela-Bela farewell

The highly respected and popular Nicola Havemann, general practitioner and family doctor is saying her final farewell to Bela-Bela.

Dr Havemann relocated to Bela-Bela in December 2015 and has been running her practice from the consulting rooms of Dr. Grobler since May 2022. She also started the Renew Medical Aesthetic and Wellness Clinic in Bela-Bela where she did excellent work in the field of aesthetics, skincare, and weight loss.

The good news for residents is that the Renew Clinic will remain open and Dr. Saffia Jacobs will visit every Thursday and keep things up and running at the clinic.

Her practice at Dr. Grobler’s chambers will be taken over by Dr. Mulla, and Sr. Erika Meyer will remain at the practice to assist the patients.

Dr Havemann will leave on Friday, 14 June 2024, and she will be moving to Knysna, on the scenic Garden Route in the Western Cape.

She plans to take a sabbatical of six months to acclimatize and spend time with her children before she makes any further decisions. She says although she has no fixed plans at present, she will open a private practice again. Now she just wants to take a break and spend quality time with her family.

Dr. Havemann thanked the community in her farewell message and expressed her gratitude to all those that trusted her for treatment, and then became an integral part of her life. She said that everyone would remain in her heart, and wished health, happiness, and endless blessings to the entire community.
