The Bela-Bela Soccer Academy is breaking ground on all fronts.

The Bela-Bela Soccer Academy is breaking ground on all fronts.

The academy’s under-15 squad recently qualified for the Waterberg leg of the Copa Coca Cola Cup.

The senior team continued to top the standings at the Bela-Bela Local Football Association (LFA), with an eye to be promoted to the Waterberg SAB Regional League.

Bela-Bela Soccer Academy’s under-15 squad was now billed to represent the local cluster at the Waterberg regional showdown.

If the academy does well at this stage, then they proceed to showcase their skills at provincial level.

The youngsters qualified after beating Settlers Agricultural High School 10-1, and walloping Solomon Mahlangu High School 3-1.

The regional showdown was scheduled to take place at the Settlers Agricultural High School grounds on Saturday 9 June.

Bela-Bela Soccer Academy mentor, Sam Modise, said he was happy at the progress made by the different age group squads.

“This year we want to qualify for the national finals in both the under-15 Copa Coca Cola Cup, and the under-19 Kay Motsepe Cup,” he said.

Bela-Bela Soccer Academy features, among its ranks, Gontse Molokomme, who played for the national under-17 squad in 2017.

The team is packed with talented players such as, among many others, Kgomotso Mokhanda and Kabelo Mokwena.
